Nashville Networking with a Purpose: How Our Women in Business Give Back
Heels Has Heart: Mixing Nashville Networking with Deep Community Impact
One thing about Heels & Handshakes is that we attract leaders with a servant heart. Our Nashville Chapter partners with a local non-profit once a quarter so we can either donate our time volunteering or raise money for their charity of choice. We call this initiative Heels Has Heart.
This month, we had the honor of partnering with one of our very own members at The Nashville Diaper Connection at our May program hosted at the brand new rooftop, COA.
Did you know they provide diapers to an average of 6,000 babies in need every single month? Yes, you read that correctly—every month.
To support their incredible mission, we asked attendees of our May professional development program to bring a pack of diapers with them to receive their two drink tickets. We called this: Huggies for Chuggies.
Yes, our women brought diapers to a gorgeous rooftop networking event in The Gulch. 👀
Because of our community's incredible generosity, the event was a massive success:
612 diapers collected to keep local babies dry and comfortable.
$818 raised in direct cash donations to fund diaper distributions.
Not only do we bring together Nashville thought leaders and nashville women in business monthly for resources, tools, and referrals, but through our members' collective generosity, we can make a lasting, tangible impact right here in Music City.
If you are looking for meaningful nashville networking opportunities where community impact and business growth go hand in hand, we would love to welcome you to our next event. Rule of thumb, the Nashville Chapter for Women in Business meets on the second Thursday of each month. You can find their calendar of events here.
