Meet Atomic Golf’s Sales Director, Kelci Balkcom — a woman whose journey reminds us that when you follow what excites you, it can lead to the most fulfilling career paths. From her early love for concerts and music festivals to a thriving career in sports entertainment, she’s proof that passion, patience, and perseverance truly pay off.

Grounded by her morning coffee, inspired by good music, and supported by her family (including her beloved hairless cats!), she lives by the mantra: control what you can, confront what you can’t. Whether she’s planning events, hitting the gym, or unwinding to her favorite playlists, she brings energy and intention into everything she does.

How did you enter into your industry?

I fell in love with events in my late teens when I was attending a lot of concerts and music festivals so I decided to make a career out of it! I started doing weddings and banquets in my early 20's after attending The International School of Hospitality for Conference Management and Event Planning but then found the sports entertainment world and never looked back!

If you could tell yourself one thing when you first started your career, what would it be?

Be patient and work hard, you'll get there!

Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?

On the weekends you can usually find me in the gym, at a concert or snuggling my hairless cats on the couch while watching movies with my husband!

Name 3 things you cannot live without.

My morning coffee, a good playlist and my family (pets included).

What is the best advice you have received?

Control what you can, confront what you can't.

What would surprise us about yourself?

I was a competitive synchronized swimmer growing up for the Nevada Desert Mermaids.

How do you get yourself out of a funk when you are having an off day?

There's a recurring theme here.....a good playlist.

What are you currently listening to? Music, Podcasts?

My favorite band for years has been the Maine, and a few podcasts I am currently loving are Crime Junkie and the Pursuit of Wellness!
