September at Skye Lounge: Community, Connection & 360° Views
Success happens in communities, and failure happens in isolation. That’s why we scream from the rooftops about the importance of having a strong community.
Speaking of rooftops… while Skye Lounge isn’t technically a rooftop, it is the only place in downtown Nashville offering 360° views of the city. And 28 floors up, it was the perfect setting for our September Heels & Handshakes meeting.
The event brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders from across Nashville for an evening centered around community, connection, and meaningful relationships.
From new introductions to familiar faces, the evening was a reminder that the right room can open doors, spark collaborations, and create opportunities you never saw coming.
The gathering gave women the opportunity to slow down, have meaningful conversations, and connect with others in a welcoming environment.
Guests enjoyed:
Meaningful conversations and networking
Light bites and mocktails
Signature drinks
A signature fragrance bar
Personality portraits
Music
360° views of the Nashville skyline
Sometimes, the best professional connections happen when you aren't trying to make a connection at all. They happen naturally through conversation, shared experiences, and simply being in the right room.
The Power of Being in the Right Room
One conversation can lead to an introduction.
One introduction can lead to a collaboration.
And one collaboration can lead to an opportunity you never expected.
That's the power of intentional networking.
Our September event was a beautiful reminder of why building a strong professional community matters. When women surround themselves with people who genuinely want to see them succeed, there is more room for ideas, encouragement, collaboration, and growth.
At Heels & Handshakes, we believe in relationships over transactions, community over competition, and surrounding yourself with women who would drop your name in a room full of opportunities.
While professional networking is at the heart of what we do, our gatherings are about more than business cards, introductions, and LinkedIn connections.
They're about creating a space where women can show up as themselves, meet people outside their everyday circles, learn from one another, and build relationships that continue long after the event ends.
Whether you're an entrepreneur building a business, a professional growing your career, a leader looking for your next opportunity, or simply looking for a community of women who understand the value of connection, there's power in finding your people.
And sometimes, finding your people starts with walking into a room you've never been in before.

What should I expect at my first meeting?
Each Nashville meeting features expert speakers, intentional networking, and hands-on activations — often at some of Music City's newest and most notable venues. You'll walk away with at least one new skill you can put to work right away, plus a room full of new connections.

Our members span nearly every industry — finance, tech, hospitality, banking, and corporate leadership among them — but hospitality and events pros make up a especially strong part of the community. Whatever sector you're in, you'll find founders, executives, and leaders who want to see you win.
Do I have to own my business to attend the Nashville Chapter meeting?
No, our members are made up of women in corporate and female founders.
Do I need to RSVP in advance?
Yes — spots are limited at most venues, so reserving your seat through the event page ahead of time is the best way to guarantee entry. Our Nashville Chapter meetings do sell out, we highly recommend making sure you are signed up for our newsletter so you never miss out on registering when tickets go live.
Is Heels & Handshakes only for women?
The Nashville chapter is built specifically for women in business. If you're looking for an all-genders option, check out Allies & Bow Ties, our related program under the same umbrella.
